On the 19th July 2012, thirty three stakeholders’
representatives were able to converge in a stakeholders meeting at Ndhiwa
Maarifa Centre.
Since the beginning of the year 2012, we hadn’t had a
stakeholders meeting to chat on the way forward concerning the Maarifa Centre’s
management and even on the new dimension ALIN has taken as a whole in terms of
serving Ndhiwa community best.
The day’s agenda were majorly dominated by Mrs. Esther Lung’ahi
and Mr. Anthony Mugo from the ALIN headquarters in Nairobi. Impact was one
major focus that the organization was totally focusing on and the need of the stakeholders
to work as a team to ensure that we help our people grow in terms of knowledge
and skills.
Later on in the day, an advisory committee of 11 members was
elected under the presence of the Ndhiwa Ministry of social services officer.
The
team was oriented on their new roles after a brief on how ALIN operates,
especially in terms of policies. Otherwise we were able to achieve much of the
days objectives.
